Stadium
Name: Szusza Ferenc Stadion
Address: 1044 Budapest, Megyeri út 13.
Capacity: 13,501

The stadium was first opened on 17th September 1922, for a match between Újpest v Ferencváros, which the Violets won 2-1. From June 1925 to June 1929 a bicycle track existed around the pitch, allowing it to be used as a velodrome. This was later taken away as it reduced the capacity to just 15,000. A flood in 1945 destroyed the stands but after renovations in 1946, the stadium became the largest in Hungary, with a capacity of 45,117. The stadium saw its first international game in 1948, when Hungary beat Romania 9-0.In 2003 the Megyeri úti Stadium was renamed Szusza Ferenc Stadium.

Floodlights were first installed in April 1968, and the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup final against Newcastle United was also held there in 1969. Until 2000 the only major changes to the stadium were the renovation of the floodlight system in 1988. Between 2000 and 2001 the stadium was completely renovated., becoming an all-seater stadium, with a total capacity of 13,501, under cover.
